This notice explains how Allsigns and Display Ltd, trading as FeatureWall, collects and uses your personal data, and the rights you have. It applies to our website www.featurewall.co.uk and to our print and installation services.
1. Who we are
We are Allsigns and Display Ltd (formerly IM Décor Ltd), company number 14582074, registered in England and Wales, with our registered and trading address at Unit 119 North Roundabout, Street 7, Thorp Arch Estate, Wetherby LS23 7FL. We trade as FeatureWall.
We are the “data controller” for the personal data described in this notice. That means we decide how and why it is used.
If you have any questions about this notice or about how we handle your data, contact us at info@featurewall.co.uk or on 01937 326 060.
2. The personal data we collect
Depending on how you use us, we may collect:
Order and contact details — your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery address, and the details of your order.
Payment information — your payment is processed by our payment provider (see clause 5). We do not store your full card number. We receive confirmation that payment has been made and limited details such as the card type and last four digits.
Images and content you upload — photographs and artwork you upload to design a mural or tile, the crop and size settings you choose, and any “see it on your wall” room photograph you use to preview a design.
Installation information (for our Print & Installed service) — the installation address, the postcode you enter to check we cover your area, the site-readiness declaration you complete, and photographs of the wall and room where the installation will take place, including any photo you take with your phone to send us.
Account and review information — if you leave a review after a purchase, the review content and rating.
Technical and usage data — your IP address, device and browser information, and how you use our site, collected through cookies and analytics where you have consented (see our Cookie Policy).
3. How we use your data, and our lawful basis
Under UK data protection law we must have a lawful basis for using your data. We rely on the following:
To take and fulfil your order — processing payment, printing your Product, arranging delivery, and carrying out installation. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
To carry out installations in your home or premises — using your address, site photographs and site-readiness declaration to plan and complete the work safely, and sharing the necessary details with the installer. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
To communicate with you about your order — order confirmations, delivery and installation updates, and answering your enquiries. Lawful basis: performance of our contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
To handle returns, complaints and guarantee claims, and to keep records — including the finished-wall photographs and quality declaration for installations. Lawful basis: performance of our contract, our legitimate interests, and compliance with our legal obligations.
To prevent fraud and keep our site secure. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in protecting our business and customers.
To meet our legal and tax obligations — for example keeping accounting records. Lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
To send marketing, where you have agreed — see clause 4. Lawful basis: your consent.
To understand how our site is used through analytics — see our Cookie Policy. Lawful basis: your consent.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are outweighed by your rights, and we only proceed where we consider they are not.
4. Marketing
From time to time we may send you a newsletter or other marketing emails about our products and offers. We will only do this if you have agreed to receive them. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by emailing info@featurewall.co.uk. Withdrawing consent does not affect order-related emails, which we send so we can fulfil your order.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary, with:
Our installers — the employees or approved subcontractors who carry out your installation receive the details they need to do the job (name, address, contact details, wall photographs and site declaration).
Our payment provider, Stripe — to process your payment securely.
Our email and IT providers — who host our website and send our transactional emails on our behalf.
Google Analytics — where you consent, to help us understand how our website is used.
Adobe Stock — where you search for a stock image to use in your design, your search is sent to Adobe to return results.
Our image-processing providers — where you use the “see it on your wall” visualiser or the generative edge-fill feature, the relevant image is sent to a third-party AI provider (currently Stability AI and/or fal.ai) to process it and return the result. Where the site is configured to do so, these images are processed transiently to generate your preview or print and are not retained by the provider for their own purposes.
Professional advisers and authorities — such as our accountants, insurers or legal advisers, or law enforcement and regulators where we are required to share data by law.
Each of these providers is only permitted to use your data for the purpose we have engaged them for.
6. Sending data outside the UK
Some of the providers we use are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we take steps to ensure it is protected to a standard required by UK data protection law — for example by relying on UK “adequacy” decisions or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent safeguards offered by the provider. If you would like more information about the safeguards in place, please contact us.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only as long as we need it:
We keep order, payment and installation records for 6 years after the end of the relevant tax year, to meet HMRC and accounting requirements and to handle any guarantee or dispute.
We keep the images and room photographs you upload for as long as needed to fulfil and support your order, and delete or anonymise them when they are no longer required. Temporary preview and phone-capture photographs are deleted automatically after a short period.
We keep marketing consent records until you unsubscribe, and analytics data for the period set in our analytics tools.
8. How we keep your data secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including secure hosting, restricted access, and secure handling of uploaded images. Payment card processing is handled by our PCI-compliant payment provider. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
be told how your data is used (this notice); access a copy of your data; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased in certain circumstances; restrict or object to certain processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@featurewall.co.uk. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
